My new musical obsession: "Pippin"
It's a really cool show, if you've never heard of it. It's been around since the 70's, and was recently brought back for a Broadway revival. I had the privilege of performing in a local production of "Pippin", and it's been my favorite show to have been a part of. The music, the dancing, the dark-ish storyline, I love everything about it
Anyways, from somewhere in my Disney-minded brain came the idea of mashing Pippin with Disney, and here's the first child from that odd couple. It's the Leading Player, the narrator, head-magician, and antagonist of the show. Charming, charismatic, yet definitely dark and full of some sinister motives. Really one of the most fascinating musical theatre characters ever. Style inspired by Patina Miller (Google her, please) and LP from our production.
